I've read this book and I highly reccomend it. I was in Yanktopn the day this story broke and lived just short of an hou away; it really opened my eyes and I hope that it begins to open a few closed mouths.

An excellent book Mr. Merill!

There are many kinds of books. For simplicity's sake let's narrow the field to two: fiction and non-fiction. The author calls this a "novel", and that usually means the characters and events are not based on anything actual or factual. So, Mr. Merrill, what is it? Do you think your book has any relation to anything that happened in actuality? Or were you making the majority up under the veil of "fiction?"

I think this is a great book. I am a cousin to Tammy and know for a fact that this is a non-fiction story and that Mr. Merrill did an excellent job of writing true events. Whoever thinks otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about.

I just read this book, couldn't put it down until I was done. I thought it was well written. I wish I knew exactly where he took "dramtic license" but none the same, it's a good read. I cannot believe a murderer is running free but even more unbelievable is how people know/saw/heard the truth and to this day do NOTHING to bring justice to an innocent girl. How do they sleep at night? How can they go on with their lives? How cant they look themselves in the mirror? I hope this book does well and he is able to have a 2nd publishing and maybe will include pictures and less "dramatic liscense". Every time I cross the bridge damn and drive past the golf course I think of Tammy Haas even though I never knew her and had just moved to the area when she was murdered. I'm glad he is keeping her memory alive. I believe in karma...what out Eric Stukel and all those who helped cover up and/or remained silent. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU...SHAME ON YANKTON!!
