Baby's first movie

In summer of 1983 when my sister was two years old, my uncle was 23 and took us to see Return of the Jedi at Carmike Cinemas where Toys R Us now sits. I was 10 and my brother was about 7. Things were going relatively well until about five minutes before the end when my sister began screaming. My uncle carried her out and sat with her by the bathrooms to never return. He missed Luke taking Anakin's mask off and the final resolution. It's been over 20 years and he never did see the end.

Last night we took the baby to see Star Wars Episode III. She was wonderful, but mommy's feet hurt since she stood for most of the movie. Finally in the last three minutes as Padme is wheeled along in her pyre and the babies are taken away and Vader's mask is lowered onto his seared flesh, the baby cried. Mommy rushed from the theatre and once again an adult in my family missed the final denouement in a Star Wars movie while I sit there enjoying it.
