highlight your books

I love highlighting books and mark in most of my books and today I realized why. When I was little my father was in school before he started his own business. He would take classes and highlight and write in his books, taking notes. I would watch him and emulate him. I remember defacing encyclopedae and dictionaries in my parents townhouse. This was long ago, but now I write in all of my books. It's all from him. There are several things I know my dad did when I was little that affects what I do now. He doesn't even know it. Although my mother does.
