Names
There are hundreds of thousands of people in this world with identical names! Seriously. Who really cares if two people who have some connection have the same name? Choices made by one person separate of another should not affect that relationship at all. If it does, if people allow that to affect friendships, that hurts. I hope it doesn't come to that.

You are right, names are no big deal. I work with an R, I am married to an R, and our neighbor's daughter is R. You meet people everyday with your name. I was once told by a very wise person that if names that are picked for a child ends up in a fight, stand your ground (unless the ground is not solid of course). It should be a flattering thing that you get along so well that you even think the same. That and you are first!!
