Welcome
This is a place I plan to write various things and post that on which I am working. I hope people will comment on my writing and tell me what they think. I also would rather not have anyone steal anything I write here. My best friend left yesterday for a trip pretty much around the world for the next 56 days. I promised him yesterday I would get this online ASAP, and I have a short story I am writing. So perhaps I will post it here somewhere for him to read from the road. I am Devon's mom. Thirty years ago today I was very, very pregnant. Well, pretty darn pregnant, anyhow. Who would have ever thought that 30 years later I would be sitting here writing this!! On my son's website......what the hell is a website....totally not in anyone's vocabulary that I ever knew back then! So much has changed in these 30 years. Not just personally or family-wise....but in the world and the way things are accomplished. The technology is crazy. One time I was taking admission information (I'm a nurse at BlueCross) on this little elderly woman who had fallen and broken her hip. Not unusual except that she was like 94 years old. She was born when people still traveled by horse and wagon. Ya know how she broke her hip? She was visiting her son in Cocoa Beach, Florida and fell in the yard where she'd gone out to watch the space shuttle take off.....wow......that's crazy. Almost as crazy as having a son who will soon be 30 and nearing a PhD.
